It’s Wedding Album Season!

Dulche du Leche leather album, handcrafted in the USA

I love my wedding albums!  I photograph weddings all year long, but winter time is really my wedding album design time.  I get to relive the wedding day all over again and remember all the fun, silly and romantic times each couple had.  This really is the purpose of all these wedding albums.  Everyone gets all their photos on flash drives (used to be cd’s and before that it was negatives).  But what happens to them them?  I mean how many times does someone take out their cd and relive their wedding memories?  Not too often I would imagine based on the number of cd’s I have piled up in my closet that I rarely if ever glance through.  But when I design each wedding album, I have an opportunity to remember moments I had completely forgotten about each individual wedding.  Hugs, tears, laughs and sometimes crazy dance moments that I just know are not framed 8×10’s hung over the fireplace.  But they do have a place in the wedding album.  Each album tells the story of the day, showcasing all the moments and details.  And I know that each couple gets the same feeling when they finally receive their album.  Something to show, look through, and relive the memories year after year.  And hopefully pass on someday.  I have a copy of my mother’s wedding album and it’s the only place I can still see photos of all my long deceased grandparents back when they were still ‘young’.
