Autumn Wedding at Tucson Botanical Gardens

Tucson Botanical Garden Wedding; Lori OToole Photography; Tucson wedding; desert garden wedding; Tucson Botanical Garden

Missy and Peter’s fall wedding at the Tucson Botanical Gardens was a beautiful day full of color, family and love. Tucson Botanical Gardens is sited on a historic piece of property in midtown Tucson. There are now shopping malls and housing developments wherer ranches used to be, but you walk into the lush gardens and forget where you are for a couple of hours. I love walking through the old historic gardens full of tall shady eucalyptus trees and fragrant citrus. When the garden was started in the early 1900’s, water was not a concern. As you meander down the shade filled paths, the lushness reminds me of an old southern garden, then you suddenly turn a corner and you are back in Tucson. Surrounded by cactus, but they are taller, larger and more exotic than you normally see in the everyday desert. If you have a passion for cacti, this is your place! Color was the theme for Missy and Peter. The bride’s color filled bouquet was a perfect complement of flowers and color to match the embroidered flowers on her dress. Cocktail hour included tours of the Butterfly House, Westward Look catered a delicious dinner out on the patio and Gabriel Ayala serenaded the guests throughout the evening with his ever magical music.
