I think Ryan had a little bit of dread of his and Sam’s engagement session. He seemed to think it would be hours and hours of hard work and being contorted into unnatural weird poses. I think about 5 minutes in, he kinda figured out it wasn’t going to be like that – ‘that’s it?’ Yup, that’s as hard as it gets.
We started out meeting up in downtown Tucson, always a favorite place of mine. A few minutes photographing this very easy to make laugh couple, and then I wanted to head over to the Barrio brewery for some photos around there. I had been there a few weeks ago for a vintage motorcycle show and thought that this was a really cool place had been wanting to shoot there ever since. Sam and Ryan were willing to go along with whatever I wanted – they just wanted to have some fun. So within 30 minutes of meeting up, Ryan was sitting at the Barrio Brewery enjoying an icy cold beer. Which is not a bad idea on a hot Tucson afternoon. At this point, I think he decided that engagement photos were actually a great idea and this wasn’t too bad AT ALL. (disclaimer: I do not force my clients to drink anything other than lots of water on their shoots!) . I had a great time this afternoon and am really looking forward to their wedding at Stardance next spring!
